Indian officers and non-commissioned officers, 'B' Company (Ahir), 1st Battalion, The 5th Light Infantry, Quetta, 1918

These officers and NCOs from 'B' Company are members of the cattle-tending Ahir caste of northern and central India. Ahirs belong mostly to the Hindu Vaishnava sect and pay particular respect to the god Krishna.
