Lithograph by Walker after Lieutenant James Rattray, 2nd Grenadiers, Bengal Army, from the series, 'The costumes of the various tribes, portraits of ladies of rank, celebrated Princes and Chiefs, views of the principal fortresses and cities and interior of the cities and temples of Afghaunistaun'. Printed by Day and Son, published by Hering and Remington, London, 1847.

A portrait of Shakar Lab, 'having lips as sugar', the favourite wife of a former governor, with hookah pipe and a female attendant wearing a burka, sketched by Rattray while in Bamiyan in Afghanistan.
