High-explosive anti-tank bomb, 1944 (c)

Projectiles like this could be fired from the Projector Infantry Anti-Tank (PIAT), a portable anti-tank weapon that entered British Army service in 1943 during the Second World War (1939-1945). Although the PIAT had a relatively short range its bomb was capable of penetrating any tank armour.
