51 digital copy photos relating to Capt Albert William 'Bill' Symes (1903-1995), a farmer in Kitale, Kenya, who was part of the Kenya Defence Force, and Liet Col Thomas Herbert Elliot Jakson. capt Symes joined the East African Reconnaissance Squadron (EARS) in November 1939 and then the newly formed East African Armoured Car Regt (EAACR). They were involved in pushing the Italians back and finally taking Abyssinia.
