War game, 'Das Belagerungspiel Le Jeu de siege' 1810 (c); board in four parts, hinged with red cloth to fold together, when open the board bears a network of lines which cross vertically, horizontally and diagonally; each corner carries a coloured print; 27 wooden pieces; case is formed from two pieces of cardboard fixed together with red tape, one side of the case is inscribed, 'R.WACKER.' and the other a carries a printed label depicting, in colour, troops besieging a town, with the title 'Das Belagerungspiel Le Jeu de siege'. Walking stick 1799 (c); white bone, possibly sword fish jaw; carved in four ribbed columns; the head is polished surmounted by a gold collar bearing an inscription describing the stick as one taken from the palace of Tippoo Sahib after the storming of Seringapatam, 1799, and giving its owner's until 1872, when it became the property of Mr Frederick Blackman. Entrenching spade, Pattern 1882; blade is iron and rectangular in shape, tapering to a rounded point; the shoulders are folded over and impressed on the top with crosses which give a grip when used; impressed with the maker's name, Edward Lucas and Sons, Sheffield; shaft is white wood and the handle has been hit by a bullet which remains embedded in the wood.
