Jellalabad Medals 1842; awarded to Pte H Jones, 13th (The 1st Somersetshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry); associated with the Siege of Jellalabad, 1st Afghan War (1838-1842) 1842. There appears to be some doubt or confusion concerning the name of the recipient of the medal. Further research has been undertaken into Pte H Jones and he has not been found listed in official records, including the Jellalabad Medal Roll held in the British Library. Medals 1960-05-155
