Rolling to the Rhine, the Red Ball Express, the 24 hr one way truck route across France which carried nearly half a million tons of freight during its 81 day existence in 1944. Approx 1500 ft of standard 8 mm film shot by Lt Col Emsden Lambert from 1930-1949 (c): personal and family material, training, operations and everyday life of 16th Punjab Regiment. The film has been transferred to video and a contents list compiled. Identifiable material includes: presentation of the colours to 1/16 Punjabis 1939, scenes of No 3 and No6 Services Rehabilitation Centres during World War Two, and the Lambert Family's emigration to New Zealand in the early 1950s.
