13/16 bore 'Trade Gun' percussion rifle, 1840-1870 (c); this weapon is stamped Sam Buckley and Company London, but as no records of this company can be found the rifle cannot be dated; the lock and trigger guard are decorated with engraved scrollwork; set trigger as well as ordinary trigger; the butt has been severely cracked at the grip; no ramrod.
