Walking stick 1799 (c); white bone, possibly sword fish jaw; carved in four ribbed columns; the head is polished surmounted by a gold collar bearing an inscription describing the stick as one taken from the palace of Tippoo Sahib after the storming of Seringapatam, 1799, and giving its owner's until 1872, when it became the property of Mr Frederick Blackman. Camp kettle, 1815 (c); cylindrical iron kettle which tapers towards the bottom, with hinged wire handles from two bracket at the front and back, and a 'S' shaped spout; with a heating stove which has a copper door at the front, a spirit stove fits inside and the kettle on top; reputedly used by an unknown soldier at the Battle of Waterloo, 18 June 1815.
