Bound typescript copy of the journal kept by Lt (later Lt Col) Hugh Annesley, Scots Guards, during his service in the Crimea, 1854; the journal begins with the regiments departure from London in Feb and continues via Gibralter, Malta, Scutari and Varna to the Crimea where Annesley was severely wounded at the Battle of the Alma.
