Collar badge, 48th Cavalry, 1941-1943
White metal badge, one of a pair, with the regimental number, '48', on crossed lances, with a scroll below bearing the motto, 'Audax et Celer' (Bold and Swift).
The 48th Cavalry was one of a number of regiments raised during World War Two (1939-1945). It was raised in April 1941 and disbanded in September 1943.
