Pouch badge, Darjeeling Volunteer Rifle Corps, 1874-1881
Blackened brass badge in the form of a bugle horn with knotted cords.
The Darjeeling Volunteer Rifle Corps was formed in 1873. It was amalgamated with the Northern Bengal Volunteer Rifle Corps in 1881. The amalgamated unit became the Northern Bengal Mounted Rifles in February 1889.
