Button, Southern Provinces Mounted Rifles, 1904-1947
Small, white metal button by J H Johnson and Company, Aligarh, United Provinces, with bugle horn with knotted cord over the unit initials, 'SPMR', for the Southern Provinces Mounted Rifles.
Formed in 1904, the Southern Provinces Mounted Rifles, became part of the Auxiliary Forces India. The unit was disbanded in 1947.
