Pouch belt plate, Hyderabad Volunteer Rifles, 1882-1901
Silvered badge in the form of the unit monogram, 'HVR', above a bugle horn, surmounted by a Guelphic Crown.
The Hyderabad Volunteer Rifle Corps was an auxiliary unit raised in July 1882. Renamed the 26 Hyderabad Rifles in 1917, the unit became the Hyderabad Rifles in October 1920.
