Pouch badge, South Indian Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps, 1901-1947
Silver plate badge in the form of a left facing bugle horn with knotted cord.
The South Indian Railway Volunteer Rifle Corps was an auxiliary unit formed in 1884. In 1917 it became the 29th South Indian Railway Battalion. In 1920 it dropped the number from its name.
